How do these few summer months breeze by so fast? We spend all this time planning, preparing and planting then BAM the whole ordeal seems almost over.
Anyway these few photos are from our most recent trip to the farmers’ market. Nothing all that exciting except for our first crop of head lettuce (late to the party I know) – a butterhead variety called Ermosa which stood up well to the heat, looks beautiful, and tastes great. We were also joined by our friends from Bay Branch Farm who stopped by for some market experience as they prepare to enter the urban farming world.
After nice vacation we’re back at it. Our next project is a high-tunnel which we’re hoping to put up before it gets too cold so we can get some late salad greens in the ground. We’re also looking forward to our first fall planting of garlic which we’re hoping to plant in abundance.
Summer Goes…

Peace.
