City Cider

With the cool weather continuing, we have decided to embrace traditional fall farm practices like pressing cider. We bought an antique cider press from a farm out in Chagrin Falls earlier this month and took it for its first spin (to us) on a recent weekend. We gathered about 6 bushels of apples from neglected neighborhood trees and made 5 gallons of cider. Pretty good. We are looking forward to cider pressing parties and brewing hard cider in the fall!
